Imaging in Clinical Trials/UPICT Group
The Imaging in Clinical Trials/UPICT Group is chaired by Gary Dorfman, MD, of the Weill Cornell Medical College.
Members of this effort will specifically address issues related to:
Uniform Protocols for Imaging in Clinical Trials (UPICT)
The ongoing UPICT work, including the UPICT template, is posted on the UPICT wiki at http://upictwiki.ctsa-imaging.org.
Additionally, the Group is also considering:
- Design of clinical trials that include imaging
- Development of imaging endpoints that may be relevant to clinical trials
- Standardizing image acquisition for the purpose of producing consistency in clinical trials
- The role of Image Response Assessment Teams (IRATs) in clinical trials
- Outlining strategies for the handling of protected health information of patients within trials that utilize imaging
Other topics may be added at the discretion of the group.

As a result of input provided by Imaging Working Group members from many CTSA sites, topic-specific subgroups have been formed.
