Imaging in Clinical Trials/UPICT Group

The Imaging in Clinical Trials/UPICT Group is chaired by Gary Dorfman, MD, of the Weill Cornell Medical College. 

Members of this effort will specifically address issues related to:

Uniform Protocols for Imaging in Clinical Trials (UPICT) 

The ongoing UPICT work, including the UPICT template, is posted on the UPICT wiki at http://upictwiki.ctsa-imaging.org                   

Additionally, the Group is also considering:

• Design of clinical trials that include imaging,
• Developing of imaging endpoints that may be relevant to clinical trials,
• Standardizing image acquisition for the purpose of producing consistency in clinical trials,
• The role of Image Response Assessment Teams (IRATs) in clinical trials, and
•  Outlining strategies for the handling of protected health information of patients within trials that utilize imaging. 

Other topics may be added at the discretion of the group.
